Riley's 2nd Birthday was April 11! I am a little late on posting this but here is a collage of a few pictures from Riley's birthday. We decided not to have a party this year because we bought him a wooden swing set and we have purchased tickets to see his favorite characters, TOY STORY, live! We did have a cookout with immediate family, though, and the pictures are from our "little" celebration! Happy Birthday to our sweet little man, Mommy and Daddy love you more than we will ever be able to express!! You are our blessing from God!!
It's been forever!
I have gotten so caught up in life and have had NO time for blogging! Here is what the Johnson's have been up to... Riley turned two on April, 11! I cannot believe how fast be has grown (will post a birthday blog soon!). Neil has taken and passed his test for HVAC certification and we are in the process of completing paperwork to begin our business, Superior Heating and Air! We are so excited about Neil's accomplishments! It will be a year or so before we can handle owning the business, but patience is the key! As for me, I have been completing my internship for Troy University! I began internship at Knight Enloe teaching 3rd grade under the supervision of Mrs. Ginger Head!! I am now teaching 6th grade under Mrs. Susan Storey. I have enjoyed every minute of internship and CANNOT wait to be teaching for a living! I will complete internship this Friday, May 6!! My graduation date is May 21st!! I am so excited!

Man's Best Friend
One of the main things that Riley inherited from his Daddy would be his love for animals! Riley has to give Jax and Rosco "Night Night kisses" before bed every night!!!! Our family just doesn't understand a heart that doesn't love animals!!!
I have recently learned Picasa and how to do collages so I was just playing and came up with this one! I thought it was cute! =)
Oh What a BLESSING!!!
Oh What a Blessing it is to say that I knew my great-grandmother, Elizabeth Grace Hudson. An even bigger blessing is to say that my son got to meet her as well!! Ninny was a woman of wisdom and she was NOT afraid to share her wisdom, whether you really wanted to hear it or not!!!! Ninny told you if you were gaining weight, or whether or not she liked your hair. Ninny was such a joy to be around and her honesty ALWAYS had us laughing!!
We were forced to put Ninny in the nursing home after she had a bad fall a few years ago. She was not happy about the decision at first, but it didn't take her long at all to call Traylor's Nursing Home her HOME!!! No matter where we tried to take her, she would rather be at HOME! I am so thankful for the staff at Traylor's nursing home for making my Ninny feel at home. It meant so much to us to know that she was taken care of 24/7 even though she didn't think she needed it!! "MORE pills" she would say... or "I DON'T need a bath EVERY single morning at 6am!!!!" but no matter what she said, they took care of her!
Although we weren't able to visit with Ninny everyday, we visited as much as we could. All I had to do was tell Riley were going to see his Ninny, and he would say Ninny NON-stop until we saw her!! The moments Ninny and Riley shared together were priceless to me and I would give just about anything to share just one more moment with her. I know Ninny is so happy in Heaven with her husband, her daughter Anita, and my Aunt Jean who I miss more and more everyday!! Here are a few pictures of the moments that can never be taken away from us.

My "Boy of Fall"
Riley's Grandaddy, Uncles, and Daddy all played football for Handley High School. Our entire family has a love for those "Friday Night Lights". Handley holds a portion our hearts and Riley is following in our footsteps! =) We have spent MANY Friday nights at Wright Field and we cannot wait to be rooting our little man on in many more years! Grandaddy, Gigi, Nana, and Papa are all hanging on to their season passes for when Riley is playing! Lord forbid the child ever decide he doesn't want to play football! HAHA Either way, Riley will always be my "Boy of Fall".

SNOWDAY!!!!
On Feb. 11 we all went to bed thinking that Dr. Don and his crew on Eagle 102.3 were over exaggerating about all this snow we are suppose to receive. It seems that everytime our small town hears the word "snow", things get crazy!! All the bread and milk wal-mart and Piggly Wiggly has in stock is bought and the whole town is shut down... EXCEPT the Bank of Wedowee!!!! We sat at the bank all day anticipating that phone call saying we should get home before the roads get bad. Of course, we just wanted to join our families in all the fun =) FINALLY we received the call that we could leave at 3:00! WOO HOO!!! I had threatened my mom, who was keeping Riley for me, that she BETTER not take him out until I get home! If it meant he didn't go out at all, his mommy was GOING to be home when he played in the snow for the first time!!! Neil got to leave work early, too, so we got to enjoy this afternoon together! =) Here are a few pictures of Riley's first big snow!! =)
I think he liked it =)
