Oh What a BLESSING!!!

Oh What a Blessing it is to say that I knew my great-grandmother, Elizabeth Grace Hudson. An even bigger blessing is to say that my son got to meet her as well!! Ninny was a woman of wisdom and she was NOT afraid to share her wisdom, whether you really wanted to hear it or not!!!! Ninny told you if you were gaining weight, or whether or not she liked your hair. Ninny was such a joy to be around and her honesty ALWAYS had us laughing!!

We were forced to put Ninny in the nursing home after she had a bad fall a few years ago. She was not happy about the decision at first, but it didn't take her long at all to call Traylor's Nursing Home her HOME!!! No matter where we tried to take her, she would rather be at HOME! I am so thankful for the staff at Traylor's nursing home for making my Ninny feel at home. It meant so much to us to know that she was taken care of 24/7 even though she didn't think she needed it!! "MORE pills" she would say... or "I DON'T need a bath EVERY single morning at 6am!!!!" but no matter what she said, they took care of her!

Although we weren't able to visit with Ninny everyday, we visited as much as we could. All I had to do was tell Riley were going to see his Ninny, and he would say Ninny NON-stop until we saw her!! The moments Ninny and Riley shared together were priceless to me and I would give just about anything to share just one more moment with her. I know Ninny is so happy in Heaven with her husband, her daughter Anita, and my Aunt Jean who I miss more and more everyday!! Here are a few pictures of the moments that can never be taken away from us.

  1. Your Ninny reminds me of my late Grandmother who always told me like it was :-) You will treasure these pics forever.
